JOB DESCRIPTION
Position : COMMERCIAL MANAGER – INDONESIA
Department : Sales Marketing
Position / Level : Managerial
Location : Medan, North Sumatera, Indonesia
Responsibilities
- Lead the Sales expansion of Fertilizer, Chemical and Lubricant Sales platform.
- Manage the Indonesia sales commercial teams focused on a) Government or State Tender b) Retail Marketplace and c) End-consumer sales
- Collaborate with Headquarter and Commercial team to identify and shape market opportunities for Fertilizer & chemical sales.
- Lead the New Product sales, vision & strategy to expand the product portfolio and the subsequent realization of sales and marketing activities.
- Drive the strategic direction and alignment of all key stakeholders across the organization
- Active contribution as an integral member of the management team
- Build and maintain a marketing network to ensure company is aligned with the current market condition
- Responsible for budgets, forecasts and overall management of spend.
Required Profile
- Minimum of 5 years with strategic/commercial responsibilities in a multinational organization, preferably in Agriculture (Fertilizer) and Chemical industry.
- 10 years’ experience at a senior management level
- Fluent command of English is a Must, both written and verbal. Can speak Mandarin and Hokkian will be advantageous.
- Good I.T. skill and presentation skill (public speaking) for various level of stakeholder.
- Ability to manage stakeholders in across the organization and aligning toward a common goal.
- Experience in managing cross functional teams (Trade, Commercial, Marketing, Data, Agile) across end-to-end sales activities.
- Able to work hands on to drive implementation, whilst continuously assessing strategic direction.
- Experience in Indonesia’s law & regulations, data-souring and Supply Chain management models beneficial
- Aligned with our principles: agile, customer-centric, lean, service-oriented, self-organization, transparency.
- Experience with CRM software such as Salesforce is a plus.
- Medan domicile.

PT. Asia Kimindo Prima was established on 23 January 1996. Initially, it was built to market and distribute industrial chemical products as well as to manufacture burn lime in Padang, West Sumatra. In 199, AKP added a new product line: fertilizers. It started to market and distributes fertilizers products to customers.
During the last decade, plantation business has grown rapidly which cause the demand and the usage of fertilizers for plantation increase tremendously as well. R & D experts has done excellent job in their research to find the best fertilizers formula mixture for each type of plants by which will bring success to our customers. This opportunity has lead AKP to expand its business along with market emergence in Indonesia.
